Similar to Rotom, Oricorio is a Dancing Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet capable of changing into different forms that alter its appearance and elemental type. These forms are also known as Styles and will change Oricorio's characteristics when the bird-like pocket monster is given a specific Held Item. This Dancing Pokémon does not possess any evolutions but can offer some unique variety in combat, thanks to its ability to swap elemental Movesets. For instance, if Trainers would like to specialize Oricorio in battling Bug- or Grass-type opponents, they can give the bird a special item to change it into the Fire- and Flying-type Baile Style.
Oricorio's habitat can be found in Area One of the South Province in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. For reference, this location is the zone directly south of Mesagoza, which can be accessed relatively early on during one's playthrough. According to Oricorio's in-game Habitat Info, the Dancing Pokémon "likes being near flowers" that grow around the grassy fields and hills surrounding the settlement of Los Platos. Pom-Pom Style is the Wild Oricorio form that players will encounter in Area One. This form is vulnerable to Rock- and Ice-type Moves in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Changing Oricorio Styles in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
After catching Oricorio in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Trainers can swap its form by giving it a Held Item known as Nectar. Based on findings by YouTuber Quick Tips, there are four kinds of Nectar: Red Nectar, Pink Nectar, Yellow Nectar, and Purple Nectar. The color of the color will determine into which Style Oricorio transforms. Below is a brief index of how these Held Items in Scarlet and Violet work:
Nectar | Oricorio Form | Elemental Types |
Red Nectar | Baile Style | Fire and Flying |
Pink Nectar | Pa'u Style | Psychic and Flying |
Yellow Nectar | Pom-Pom Style | Electric and Flying |
Purple Nectar | Sensu Style | Ghost and Flying |
All these kinds of Nectar can be purchased at Delibird Presents Branch across Paldea once Trainers have acquired three Gym Badges. Furthermore, every Nectar type costs ₽300 each. Accordingly, Trainers can change Oricorio's form in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet by opening their inventory, selecting the Nectar, and giving it to the Dancing bird. Additionally, catching or defeating a Wild Oricorio can yield Oricorio Feathers. Experienced Trainers at Game8 state that these feathers are crafting materials required for making the TM Recipes Agility and Hurricane. Agility is a Psychic-type Move that temporarily bolsters Speed, while Hurricane unleashes a devasting attack that can also potentially confuse enemies in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
