With such amazing new and exciting content that has been released this patch, it is not a surprise that we will be beginning a new chapter on the main storyline and continuing the Archon Quests. Version 5.0 released the first two Acts of the Natlan Archon Quests. How to unlock and complete the Natlan Archon Quest ACT I “Flowers Resplendent on the Sun-Scorched Sojourn” in Genshin Impact
To ensure that players play the story in a smooth timeline:

Part I: Natlan! A New Adventure
You’ve made many unforgettable memories in Fontaine. Now, a new journey lies before you — first, time to say goodbye to your fine Fontainian friends.
- Go to Romaritime Harbor and say goodbye to your Fontaine friends
- Start your adventure towards Natlan
- Go deeper into Natlan (Teleport to Sumeru, the desert region)
- Meet Kachina and follow her to the Children of Echoes
- Continue exploring the Children of Echoes’ territory
- Talk to Kachina and follow her to the Statue of The Seven
- Light the Statue of The Seven and obtain Pyro powers
- After failing terribly, talk to Kachina
- Go to the Statue of The Seven
- Go to the Stadium of the Sacred Flame
- Ignite the Phlogiston Chiselith
- Talk to Kachina and continue heading toward the Stadium of the Sacred Flame
- Register for the Pilgrimage of the Return of the Sacred Flame
- Go to the Weary Inn for a meal and interact with Mualani and Kinich

Part II: Pilgrimage of the Return of the Sacred Flame
The Pilgrimage of the Return of the Sacred Flame, the most important competition in Natlan, is about to begin. Meet up with Kachina and the gang before things start.
- Wait till 08:00 – 10:00 for the next day
- Meet up with Kachina and the others
- Talk to Lamanai and enter the Stadium of the Sacred Flame
- Go to the competition venue and watch the opening ceremony
- (POV Switch) Start the team stage
- Collect the 3 Contending Sparks
- Return to the Stadium of the Sacred Flame
- Complete the team stage and prepare for the individual matches
- Finish the duel with Nkunga
- Continue with the individual matches
- Finish the duel with Liliuo
- Take a halftime break
- Finish the duel with Mualani
- Take part in the award ceremony

Part III: Home of the Hot Springs
As the Pilgrimage draws to a close, Kachina emerges triumphant, and she joins the Night Warden Wars alongside some seasoned veterans. After the tournament, Mualani moots the idea of visiting the People of the Springs
- Go to the People of the Springs with Mualani
- Head for the artificial hot springs and try the artificial hot springs out
- Change into the outfit Mualani prepared
- Meet up with Marokau and the others
- Go to the market street to buy the necessary goods
- Return to the abandoned hot spring
- Return to the inn to rest and go back to the inn and sleep
- Deal with the unforeseen situation
- Repel the Abyss incursion and Talk to Mualani
- Go with Mualani to find Amina
- Destroy the Abyssal Pylon and then Talk to Mualani
- Go to the abandoned hot spring and take part in the hot springs party

Genshin Impact Natlan Archon Quest ACT I “Flowers Resplendent on the Sun-Scorched Sojourn”: In-Depth Review and Discussion
As we near the end of the main story, unraveling the mysteries of Teyvat, searching for our missing sibling, and uncovering the fate of all the characters, we now arrive at our next destination: Natlan. Throughout the game, World Quests, dialogues, and various other content have provided us with glimpses of what the Nation of Pyro is like and the happenings in the Nation of War.
From the lore we’ve gathered so far, we know that Natlan’s original Pyro Archon has perished, and a new Archon now presides over the nation. Additionally, Natlan remains a highly secretive place, with no NPCs from other nations appearing there. The nation is made up of tribes that live in harmony with other creatures. Neuvillette has also mentioned that Natlan is a nation of dragons, though not the same kind of dragon as himself (a sovereign dragon).
Main Plot Setup and Natlan Lore
We begin the Archon Quest by preparing to leave for Natlan, bidding farewell to our Fontaine friends with smiles and pleasantries. We briefly backtrack to Sumeru, particularly the desert, where Natlan’s entrance is located. Upon entering Natlan, we are greeted by a vibrant, colorful region teeming with life and lush vegetation.
As we reach the nearest settlement, we encounter our first key character in the Natlan storyline: Kachina. Immersed in Natlan’s customs and lore, we learn about the annual tournament, where heroes from tribes across the nation gather to fight in honor, aiming to defeat the Abyss.
This is a significant development, as the Abyss has not been heavily featured in the main Archon Quest thus far. Learning that the Abyss is an active threat to Natlan, and that the Archon has been striving to drive them away, adds intrigue and heightens the player’s interest in what lies ahead.
Final Thoughts
Overall, ACT I introduces Natlan in a light-hearted manner, filled with themes of friendship and camaraderie. The story gently guides us through Natlan’s culture and customs, culminating in the surprising revelation that the Archon is a human who ascended to godhood. While the start is fairly modest, it sets the stage for what promises to be an exciting narrative in future acts.
